FAULTY CONNECTIONS

THE PROBLEM: The site supervisor called to organise our Electrical team to check the bathroom heater that was installed recently by another company, when in use it affected the switchboard.

ADAMS' SOLUTION: Our Electrician called to the property to investigate the bathroom heater. The Electrical found the heater was tripping the RCD at the switchboard, they removed the bathroom heater, and on further investigation, they found the live and neutral conductors directly shorting and weren't correctly terminated. The Electrician re-terminated the connections and re-installed the bathroom heater. Before leaving, they checked that the heater was operating without affecting the RCD at the switchboard.
