FAULTY PRESSURE REDUCING VALVE

Updated: May 13, 2022

THE PROBLEM: Tenants called Adams to organise a plumber. They noticed hot water constantly running out of one of the downpipes, and along the back of the property, they were worried that the running water was related to a faulty hot water cylinder.

ADAMS' SOLUTION: The Plumber called to the property to investigate the hot running water down the back of the property. The Plumber had to access the roof space to check the pressure reducing valve and found that it was faulty; the faulty pressure reducing valve pushed cold water through the hot water cylinder, pushing the hot water out through the downpipe. He replaced the valve and checked for leaks before leaving the site.
